JOICO® is taking bold new steps in the manufacturing, packaging and distribution. We believe in accountability, here is what we are doing to make fine words produce real results:

Harnessing the WindBy 2011 we will generate from an on-site turbine 100% of our manufacturing facility’s electrical needs and are working with the city of Geneva (NY, USA) and the state of New York to supply local residents and businesses from this.
Packaging: Pretty and Eco-FriendlyOur modern approach to packaging contains up to 70% post-consumer recycled (PCR) material and JOICO® prints only on 100% recycled paperboard. We are able to do this without compromising the sleek, stylish design which guarantees maximum shelf appeal.
A New LightUpgrades in all the lighting at our manufacturing facility In Geneva, NY, USA have enabled us to reduce energy consumption by 70% – the equivalent of taking 245 cars off the road each year in the USA.
Water ConservationWe have reduced water usage by 5% per unit and eliminated additional chemical treatment requirements from our waste stream.
Transportation ConservationBy re-scheduling and re-routing our transportation, we are able to save more than 180,000 liters of fuel a year which gives the same benefit as planting 8,000 new trees.
